Doing church in a bar. Feeding the homeless.
AfterHours’ mission is to put more love into the world by providing necessities for people who need them, especially homeless folks, and by creating places where all are welcome.
1st Monday – Don’s Club Tavern 7pm
2nd Monday – Dive Inn 7pm
3rd Monday – Pub on Pearl 7pm
4th Monday – Locales Taco 7pm
Church is great except when it hurts.
There’s a void in the sharing of God’s love. There are good people that want to be a part of something bigger, but they are being left out, excluded, and avoided by mainstream church communities. We are those people and create places where people can seek, experience, and participate in God’s love. Our community meets in bars to make sack lunches for people forced to take shelter outside, have deep conversations about God, and share our burdens and joys with one another.

Every time we gather together at the bar, we make over 100 PB&J sack lunches that we serve the next day to people experiencing homelessness. Feeding people is our Call to Worship. AfterHours and our partners provide 20,000 meals per year to people who need them.
We believe in loving boldly and offering ourselves in service. Because in the end you gotta share your life to receive it. AfterHours is a community of individuals from across the socio-economic spectrum with various beliefs, sexual orientations, genders, and backgrounds. Sharing life can happen anywhere and it seems that when we break bread together, serve one another, or sit down at a table with a drink, this kind of sharing comes naturally. Turns out Jesus wants this too.

“When I was homeless, rain, snow, or shine, AfterHours showed up every single day without fail and served lunches when the noon bells rang. I appreciated that your line was safe and it seemed like you had a sense of humor.”
– David H.
Enough about us. What about YOU!?
