Christmas in the Park
On Christmas Day 2009 some friends were driving downtown and decided to buy needed items and hand them out to folks who were living on the streets. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Now volunteers bring an assortment of new and gently used items to the park to help make Christmas Day something special for folks who might not otherwise receive special items. In turn, they serve people experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty. Setting up a free market full of new shoes, boots, backpacks, hand-warmers, hats, gloves, coats, clothing, hygiene items, cold weather sleeping bags, and MORE.
In 2023 250 volunteers served over 600 people at Christmas in the Park!
